update!

so the latest and greatest!
looks like i will be taking the car to ER shortly after i get home for an inspection and tune
my friend took some more photo's of the car today and i might be ordering up a mishimoto radiator, aluminum fan shroud and, hoses this weekend or monday.
any experiences or suggestions that i should know as far as aftermarket stuff?
attaching some of the new pics
that intake manifold looks really shiny
the wheels took me a bit to figure out... they are A-Tech "competition" 17x9

info on aftermarket stuff: why waste money on a rad, al fan shroud and hoses? I'd use that money on go fast parts and worry about that stuff later. I'll take that hood vent shroud/panel you have, I think Ralliart?

He's right about wasting money on that stuff. It's nice to have some aluminum bling in there (function = bling to me over shiny ****), but honestly the stock stuff cools just fine for even 500whp, yahu being a perfect example of that.

All of that is irrelevant if you plan to track the car, of course, in which case cooling is more important than power.

i personally used them. it should help you brainstorm that to-do list of yours.

both are bookmarked and poked through almost daily lol! thank you
the ralliart piece will go up for sale once i figure out and buy a hood.
so the rad is a bad call unless i intend to track it frequently? autoX?

It's not a 'bad' idea, just not money spent in a direction that will net you any tangible gains.

If you have the money and are intent on getting one, it wont hurt you at all, but it also wont make much of a difference in the performance or reliability of your car.

Before mods like this, get this list done:
TBE
LICP
UICP (I got and prefer just getting a full FMIC kit, I suggest the ETS 3.5")
Walbro 255lph
Boost controller
ER tune

That's a pretty easy and reliable 330-360whp on a IX at 23-25lbs of boost (results may vary)

ive been looking for a nice pipe kit that doesn't require a battery mod to fit. ive also been stumped on how that will work out once i replace the intake mani and TB.
there is a blitz boost controller on it at the moment (a small electronic box mounted in the cubby below the a/c controls)
im not sure on a full TBE... from the pics i got i could see the injen catback and the cat itself looked like a helix unit. my friend wasn't able to get more pics because her camera died after she took the ones i posted. still leaves me unsure of some things.
will i be able to run 23-25lbs of boost on an 8 without a new wastegate and/or BOV?
recommendations are happily accepted

Step 1: Get ER to look over the car.
Step 2: Tell them your 'goals' for the car and follow their advice.
Step 3: Get ER to tune it and drive home happy.

you'll be able to run 23- 25 psi, but you might want a new bov (can't remember if you listed that). The stock VIII bov is plastic. At least get the IX bov, which is metal.
