I also just graduated College with my BS and will be an Officer soon. Did I also mention that they paid 100% of my BS and I have got to travel all around the world...

Let me know if you want more info. I have no problem talking to you on the phone and helping you out. Just let me know man. With the economy the way it is, you couldn't have a better job, have full college paid for, or a retirement if you do 20 years almost anywhere else.

Once upon a time I almost went the way Mikey did. He has definitely positioned himself well and enjoys his job immensely! Nothing wrong with that! I think most people in the military that complain about what they do and their pay are either not smart enough to do better for themselves, or don't have the initiative. I suppose that is true for most roles in life.

@jnut, you wouldn't be the first person to go that route. I suppose it depends on what you need to do long-term. Sometimes you have to make short-term sacrifices. Best of luck to you regardless. I have 3 kids and they are a joy, except I really live life for them.

That is true! It would be funny however to have to salute your wife...

If you didn't know I'm going Officer soon! I got accepted but I'm waiting till mid deployment to leave. I want to hang around just long enough for me to get my Surface Warfare pin so i can be a dual qual Officer!

ps. You can go down to ER with me on June 2nd when I get back from det! I may be drag Dan and Eric down with us

what is a dual qual Officer? Basically that you are eligible to be an officer in more than one way? I know there is a joke in there somewhere about saluting your wife.
