Good idea. $20-$50 once a year beats a ticket

Guys this petition is like 2 years+ old at this point. Doesn't do any good to sign up, it's already been shot down by WA state courts..

it has to be mounted "vertically, less then 4ft from the ground and in the front of the car" thats all it says in the law!

No, I've been ticketed for having it in my dash. The police officer made a perfectly valid point of why too.... when you get rear ended, the plate will leave the dash with the force of the impact... making an excellent guillotine for your passenger...

I solved my license plate delima this weekend. 8 zip ties, some dremel work and a washer and now my front plate/holder is in place. AND you can only see 2 of the zip ties from the outside. I think even a redneck would be proud of my install lol.

It's 2011 and we still have front plates in WA! They are hideous.
I got pulled over the other day in a line of cars coming down from the slopes. I had my plate off almost since I got the car but now thinking of putting it back on since it just gives another stupid cop a reason to pull you over....

I didn't get a ticket but it did make me late for work :l

I signed the petition online a few years ago but whatever we can do to get this law removed im down and have plenty of other people willing to do the same.. lets get a few thousand to write letters

I hate to say it, but a petition is not going to get this removed. They have more reasons now than before to have front plates... like traffic light cameras. If they can only get the back of the car, it makes it more difficult to get a license plate shot. This law is here to stay guys

They do all angles, but they want to get the front of you and the plate. Makes it harder to defend than, that is the front of a different Blue Toyota Prius.

what are you talking about prius? next thing you know those cameras are going to be checking your speed, your seatbelt, your exhaust sound level, and your window tint percentage.

Prius, I was making a point that there are a lot of cars that look the same. If they took a photo of the front of the car and didn't have a license plate # to back it up, it'd be much more difficult to prove in court. If they have your car + license plate in photo, a lot easier to prove.

And yah, I'm sure some day those cameras will be checking all of that. Sucks, but that's the future, watched all the time, yay.
