Question 94 octane in Portland?

Does anyone know if there is a gas station close by PIR which sells 94 octane gas? I'll be down there on Sunday for a track day and I'm tuned at 94 octane. I did a Google search but came up empty, I'm hoping this doesn't mean I'm out of luck.

Get some 101 and mix appropriately...or some Toluene.

I'll probably just go with Shell VPower and hope for the best

The baxters on the other side of the freeway from PIR sells a couple different types of race gas. I'd call them to make sure though. Also Check Mark Nelson oil products in Salem.

You should be fine with the 92. If you are tuned on 94 Cenex it creates leaner AFR's than other fuels. So when you run 92 from a normal station your AFR's will drop by about .5 points at the minimum - which should be keeps OK.

You can always toss in a bit of 100 octane race gas as well, like others said.

Have fun, Portland is good stuff - easy on the nerves compared to Pacific.

2 gallons of racegas should go in for every pumpgas car making lap days anyway. The more heat soaked the car gets the more you will have to add. The exception is E85 or a car running racegas anyway of course. Meth is no longer allowed by some clubs so I am not including it for that reason.

Thaine goes about 15 minutes on straight pump before he starts to see knock in 5th on the straights. On the end of the first lap session he adds a pint of Torco and then adds a pint every couple of sessions as the light comes back. Each pint is worth about 3 full points as I recall.
