I finally did it! Took my red deep into the 11's.

Nice job, Keith! Eric might have slicks he'd sell ya!
*edit - just read the first post again. Looks like you're already on DRs. The good thing is it seems like you're consistent and improving.

I'm probably never gonna use slicks despite being able to improve the 60 for sure. I think a little slip makes the drivetrain happy compared to brute force traction. Talk about bye bye T-case.

Do you have trailing arm bushings installed on your Evo?
Ever notice that when you get on the brakes at the top end of the track the back end gets squirly if you hit the brakes hard?
The softer side wall tires absorb some of the yank and cushion the drivetrain. The DR's work well, but not as well as a soft slick. Dan I just have Hoosier R6's...wrong kind of tire for this
What tire pressure are you running in your drag radials? Are you doing a burnout?

No it doesn't wander at top end. Never slipped in 3rd or 4th. I've tried lower than 24 before, but that was before I really even knew how to lauch the car at all. May have to give it another shot in the low 20's. Problem is everytime I adjust the psi, the launch feels different and I have to adjust all over again.

No one gets it dialed on the first pass.
From my experience I would run between and 18-22 psi cold and set the two step at just above 6200... set the VSPD disable threshold for the launch limiter at 5-6kph.... and ride that clutch. The car will float a bit on the top end, so be careful not to upset the car
