Thanks for the input everyone. If there was a way for me to post an Excel on here I would show you guys the comparison chart that I have going. I am taking the pads that I think will meet my needs and searching the internet for their temperature ranges and mu values...some of the data seems to be hard to find. the retailers do not seem to provide quantitative data. They instead give unclear qualitative comparisons... I have emails in to a few reps but only Stoptech has gotten back to me so far.

I have magic pads right now and everything posted above is true. dust is minimal, cold bite is okay, warm/hot bite is non existant and to be honest they are kinda scary to drive on at speed.

with the binary brake ducting i'm considering the Ferrodo 2500 and hear that they can handle track use with the ducting due to the increased cooling properties.

Per his site: "EVO Brake Duct Nozzles... ANTI-HAWTNESS!"

I run Hawk HPS as a DD pad. Once bedded properly little to no squeal, minimal dust.
And CF 01 pads track and autoX lots o' squeal and dust. Great initial bite good modulation.

ferodo 2500 front and rear. Originally bought as a track day / street pad and they do work but as lap times get faster I will be needing a dedicated front race pad. But for the rears they are perfect for track and street. They also do squeal a bit, instead of dreading it I just enjoy it though, for example.
Driving downtown on a busy street and watching the pedestrians cringe as I come to a slow squeely stop.

1) Try the Binary brake ducting. He runs 2500's all around and doesnt overheat them at the track. (he is a track junkie!)

2) exactly! I've no idea why people hate the squealing.... just means you drive a rally car and are cooler.

i use centrics since i wanted something cheap for street cruising only. cold initial bite isnt best but its solid pads for the price and dust is light.

IIRC he runs Raybestos ST-43 now. You can track DS2500's quite well with ducting but wider R comps will most likely push them over the threshold in a 20min+ session. I have never ran them although PF Z pads have the same MOT and I have overheated those even on the street/mountains with 255 NT05's. But alas I don't have ducting and well... I probably should

I run WORKS Blue pads with the WORKS 2 PC rotors. Only been using it for DD so far...have close to 50K on this setup with decent meat left! Initial cold bite isn't where I'd want it, but it is more than the Brembo's were. They can handle temps north of 1,000*F so that helps explain why... Overall I've been pretty satisfied with them but want more bite! Hoping the DS2500 will fit the bill. I'm looking for a pad with a higher friction coefficient....but that is like finding spring rates for lowering springs - most companies don't give that info out.
Yes, more bite will mean faster wear of the pads/rotors & more dust & possibly more noise. That just comes with the territory. A fair tradeoff for the performance they offer. It's just like tires - you want more grip, you'll give up lifespan, all-weather traction, & a soft quiet ride.

I have also been running the Ferodo DS2500's on front and rear for two years now. I've been very happy with them. They have stock like pedal feel but have great stopping power. The hold very consistently and don't fade. I auto-x them about every other weekend for a year and they still have quite a bit of life left in them. They worked wonderful for auto-x but I could see them overheating and fading on long track days. They also produce a fairly large amount of brake dust. I've only noticed squealing from my front drivers side on the highway. It's very quiet and I don't think anyone ever notices besides me. However this only happens if I haven't gotten hard on them in awhile.

Anyone interested in PBR brake pads PM me and let me know what you pay for them and I can see what I can do price wise. PBR makes some great brake parts. I can get anything from the the "Deluxe" to the "Ceramic" pads for front and rear.
