Back home!

Hi all,

I was just getting comfy getting involved in the community a lil over a year ago when work came calling and I was heading back over to Iraq for a second tour leaving behind a pretty stock IX in the garage (Buschur 3" turbo back, MBC, Buschur air filter, Tein S-Tech springs). Well, Im back as of Saturday the 9th and damn does it feel good. Not only to be back, but to enjoy my car as Ive missed greatly.

The past 3 days Ive been adding a couple lil goodies here and there and a couple big ones. Ive added an AMS mini battery, ARC airbox rigged to fit the mini battery, ARC heatshield, JDM tails (not real, just depos.....not spending $1200 for the fawkers), UK trunk badge (again, not real....cant find the real one in stock), c/f vortex generator, and the big change.....white Volk CE28N's with Toyo Proxy T1R's. (my first set of Volks, w00t!)

I still got some more to go this round of mods. Just ordered a set of Buddy Club coilovers, Ingalls engine dampener, hood struts, extended studs/lugs. Also got a ralliart c/f lip, APR canards, hella horns, HKS Ti muffler/axleback, and IC pipes left to install (ETS lower, hoping for an ARC upper w/bracket). Also looking into an Exedy twin disk, stoptech lines and pads, and more ARC stuff too (yes, ARC ***** all the way).

I will post some before and after shots of what Ive done so far when I get back from canada this weekend, as well as along the way shots. Looking forward to seeing you guys at meets and getting involved with the community.

Welcome home man! And like many others have said, thank you for your service!

Maybe when things settle down around the NW (deployed ppl that are coming home get home, work gets caught up for ppl etc.) we can set a meet/cruise up to Leavenworth once the snow starts coming down, use our AWD rally cars for what they were designed for

Welcome back, Derek! You got the mini-battery and tweaked the ARC airbox to fit it, then got the ARC upper? Kinda funky.

Not sure if you heard but pretty much all the nudie bars closed while you were away and to top that off, Oregon nudie bars are getting more strict. I suppose that could be why you headed up to the Great White North?
