Almost got my EVO repoed...

*everything is ok now* ... thank god...

Never opened my mail yesterday.... so I did when i got off work at 630 this morning. Found a letter from BECU stating I failed to put BECU as the lien holder on the car, and it must be done within 10 days from the date of the letter (dated 11/04/10) or the car will get repoed.

I know this has been done, because I have been pulled over by an officer that I work with, and I have seen the return on my car and it clearly shows my name, then BECU.

I call the number and she says that she cant figure out why i would get that letter, and sometimes they just randomly send em out. But i should still call the main number and clarify. When I asked if it was going to be repoed... she was very unconvincing and said to just call the main number.

So i tried the main number about 100 times today - but they may not be working due to the holiday (even tho the title office said they were there today)

So I call the title office back, because If someone comes to repo my evo there would be a very big confrontation... I speak to someone else who figures the whole damn mess out...

Originally I opened a loan to buy a blue 05 SSL evo 8 - but i found this Black one which was a wayy cleaner evo, so i canceled the loan on the blue car, and they re issued a loan on the black one.

They said even though i closed the blu evo loan, the official closure date is 2 months later (odd i know...) and the letter sent on the 4th but it shows as of the 5th corporate closed it.

Long *** message, but it has been a stressful morning. Had to park gf's audi to block the evo, left the dog outside and was ready to scrap.

Not sure God is the being to thank.

Its just a paperwork error. Even if they *could* repo the car it would take longer than the first day to arrange the paperwork with a repo center.

Fair disclosure: I get alot of IRS notifications at work which are even more BS than what you got, they used to scare the crap outta me, but now its just like "What did they eff up this time?"

Did they report anything to the credit bureaus? That's something you need to check. Credibility is something everyone needs to make things people want affordable.

Ask them for a letter stating that they did NOT contact the credit agencies nor report anything adverse against you as a result in the administrative error reguarding the reposession of the blue evo...

Documentation rules all.... dont trust a "note to your account"!
