I read every line of my new car window sticker before I bought the Evo. Knew everything before I even drove the car. Nice little feature although I think Rain Sensing Wipers are better. My friends Mazda has it.

My old MazdaSpeed 3 had 'em too, along with auto on/off headlights and climate control. I miss the features lol.

Our Honda's have done this too; forgot to mention that feature. No worky on the Evo though.

We have auto-off headlights...but auto-on would also be nice.

Does this work on the 8's? I have never noticed all these years.

One more thing that our Honda's (Acura's as well), Infiniti's and Toyota used to do were you could roll all the windows down and open the moon roof by holding the unlock key. The Infiniti's would also roll them back up and close the moon roof if you held the lock button. I was kind of hoping that all Japanese cars did that when I got the Evo.

Was thinking the same thing . I guess the good thing about the NW is that if I actually pay attention on the way to work tomorrow I might find out.

The Mazda sensor is total garbage. I tried to get MazdaUSA to replace my Mazdaspeed3's with the non-sensing wiper ecu.

Every time I emerged from the I-90 tunnels the wiper would go three times as the sensor couldnt figure out the light differences. Ruined three sets of wipers inside of 6 months before I could fully document the problem and get U-Mazda to do a ride-along.

ruined as in it was summer time and if you leave the position in "AUTO" one would think that at 80 degrees and without a drop of water in sight that they wipers wouldnt go on. Then you emerge from the tunnel and BAM! three very loud, clattering wipes of a hot wiper blade across a dry window. Then repeat after the next tunnel.

I use Trico Teflon blades which, IMHO, outperform PIAA's at 1/2 the cost and have excellent water wicking properties, but lack the snow/ice capacity (which isnt a problem as I have a garage at home and at work)

The PIAAs are silicone and you are encouraged to use them throughout the year. I haven't used the Tricos but I haven't used anything as good as the PIAAs. Not just the water wicking but the length of time at which they are effective. I've had the same PIAAs on my truck for more than a year and they still work great and bead up the water on the windshield.

My Mazda never exhibited this problem....

Never tried the PIAA's, but silicone blades is where it's at. I use Bosch.
