Do you have an anti-lag setup on your car?

Karl,

AWESOME sir

gen-

We are testing the stock ECU antilag without air injection on 2 roadrace cars right now. Karl's and Jason's. As soon as we have good enough data it will be an option for the serious us among us. It will not be something I do for everybody as there are only a few with the actual need.

Aaron - what are the drawbacks for this anti-lag implementation? Is it always active?

Without doing some map switching that is the issue. This really has only been tested with Ethanol for the most part, which with the lower BTU and lower EGT is cooler and a little less effective from the few times I have switched back to gas. We have run a stock IX turbo with antilag for quite awhile and when it was replaced with a Red there was no real obvious damage nor shaft play.

The reason I put the warning on it is for road racers (those that really need it) it runs alot more heat so since we havent tested it other than on the street, I dont have definitive track data on lifespan.

I am not saying it causes failures though (its really less aggressive than the JDM setup). We have over 15k on turbos doing this. I am saying its for those that know they need it and not for those that just want noise. It times out after 995ms so it doesnt run continuously and shouldnt cause issues.

Right now it only seems to work IXs as well, so anyone that wants it needs a IX
