I'd give the versatile nod to SUV's. You can typically tow more, and you can definitely go more places with better clearance. If you want more versatile seating arrangements, then go with the minivan - I'll buy you one of them big ol' soccer ball looking air fresheners, Miguel!

We test drove a used sequoia this past weekend. Holly cow that thing has space and a half....it also sucks gas like a 16 year old drinks on spring break..
