About to up the Ante

Ok, So I just sold my 2G GSX and am going to use the funds to outfit my X. I was planning on getting an Agency Power Cat-Back, AMS DP, megan rear lower control arms, and bought a set of Tein S Tech springs.

My question is, how is the throw on our shocks/struts when lowered, looking to drop it by about 1.5" f, 1" r. I am not too familiar with the aftermarket stuff for evo's so is the Agency CB good or should I go with the RoadRace cat back? I know AMS is good for what they have, so not really too concerned with that. Was hoping to get my stuff in and on before this Saturdays meet, but doesn't look like that will happen. Any input is good. Thanks in advance, and see you all Saturday.

Ricky

I have an ap catback on my ( , I really like it, it fits well and sounds great. Question though, is there something wrong with the X l.c.a.'s That seems like something I would only replace for track or autocross work.

I wanted to replace them since I was lowering it. I wanted to be able to correct the Tow enough to save my tires from getting worn from the drop. Or is my thinking way off?

You should be fine with just a standard alignment after the drop. Your shocks with hold up for a while but obviously not as long as designed. You should look into a roll center adjustment kit if you're lowering.

your rear LCA's have more then plenty of room to play with tow and caster and so fourth. I actually dropped a X with 10.5in wide wheels and we fixed all the problems, the stock LCA's and bolts actually have a ton of room to play with

O, well shoot. Guess I should have waited an hour before buying them. Damn it. Well, I suppose I will have them when I do start getting back into the track scene.

Get an ETS exhaust buddy. You will love it. When did you sell your gsx? Did the throttle body adapter work out for ya?

ETS for the win, have you thought about swift springs not excessively low and performance oriented.

I haven some interest in getting an ETS exhaust too. My main concern though is the police attention here in WA. which exhaust should I even be going for? I've listened to sound clips in another thread, I like the v2 but wonder if i should just get the quiet.

How much louder is the quiet exhaust from the stock X exhaust?
