Need Diagnostic Help!!

So I am having problems with the evo and I was wondering if you guys could recommend a shop in the seattle area or even someone on this forum that has some insight on evos that could help me diagnosis these problems. I would go to English Racing but that would mean I would have to take time off work to go down there as well as arrange rides to pick me up and drop me off since I don't know how long it will take and I really can't afford to take time off work right now. Any help would be appreciated.

The main problem is every time I shift my rpm spikes as soon as I step in the clutch. It well shooting anywhere between 300-600 depending on hard I am on throttle before shifting. So for example if I'm at wot it will spike like 600 rpm when I shift

Sounds like its time for an OEM replacement from mitsubishiparts.net or ACT clutch upgrade from MAP.

Whaaaaaat.... Did any of you actually read what he wrote for symptoms? It sounds like the typical Evo over-rev that a lot of cars are plagued with. My RR had it, and quite a few others have as well. If it is your problem, ER can most likely tune it out.

Just for everyone else, typically a slipping clutch can't be felt when you disengage (push pedal in) it. Didn't really think that had to be stated, but wtfe....

i agree this is not a slipping clutch a slipping clutch would be felt when he hits the gas thais is just over rev. i have the same problem and my clutch is brand new less than 2000 miles on it. after doing some research of my own i noticed that alot of evo's have this problem.

Like Andrew said.

Sounds like throttle hang. We can fix that normally. If it revs up in gear then we are talking about a slipping clutch.
