^definitely - don't mind Ryan, he is our local troll.

Derek, I was just messing with you. If Chad thinks 30psi pressure testing might take an eye out, taking apart a TiAL without knowing what you're doing definitely will!

I've done it myself but it is much easier with a 3rd hand if you don't have some sort of strap to hold it together.

This is a fact. It's basically Mitsu's way of fighting compressor surge.

What do you consider heavy boost? What number does it start having issues?

I've run both the unpainted spring and the black spring. The black was certainly easier, as it should be. I know you know...I know? I'm lost.

So from what I can overall gather - for best function and drivability look at synapse or aps? what about "crushing" a stock IX dv? I may be upgrading turbos soon so I want to make sure I cover everything

Puh-lease! If you saw Joey's house I wouldnt even need to resort to a comeback.

Every inch of his house is styled and decorated. Extra bottles of decorative olive oil with stuff in it? CHECK! plastic grapes and ivy things on the shelves? CHECK!

I needent go any further...... And the only thing stopping me is the kegerator in the garage...... If it actually had a keg in it right now then the two examples above wouldnt have been posted at all.

I quantified my suggestion that based on his setup and the type of guy the OP is, that the OEM IX would be fine. Not that it was the perfect solution.

As in, he's a misguided ricer wannabe who thinks a half black half silver car looks good, and that form is more important than function?

Its a proven fact that anybody whos "on Charlie Sheen" inside a performance vehicle adds additional spontanious horsepower at the twitch of a nostril........that would have been an unfair race to say the least.
