Yeah, as long as you don't smash around on the freeway like myself and my girlfriend tend to
, you should get really good gas mileage.
Here's a perfect example:
Going to Bremerton a few weekends ago, we were averaging about 100 up toward Tacoma and then about 80 to Bremerton. Got there with half a tank of gas burned up and no more than 150 miles on the odometer.
On th way back, we went no faster than 90 all the way home and got there in almost half the amount of gas, but considerably slower.

Doesn't an 02-03 lancer only have a 10 gal tank? If so, that is saying you are getting 50 mpg...which I can't see. But if it has a 13 gal tank like the 04 RA then you are getting like 38 mpg, which still seems a little high to me, but nice gas mileage nonetheless.
The 02/03 Lancers have a 13 gallon, but what I have found out is that at 0 on the guage it still has about 2.5 - 3 gallons left in the tank. Although the 2nd half of the guage travels quicker than the 1st half of the guage from full. So Im assuming that 50% on the guage is somewhere near 6.5 gallons.
It has a 13.2 gallon tank. But... Fuel starts cutting out around 12.8 gallons as my girlfriend and I found out one day. We managed to sputtur our scared asses to a gas station, misfiring (and if you've ever heard my exhaust, you know how scary that must sound) all the way.
