i know a guy who has a skyline that isn't "good to go" as you say. Sure, he has the money to keep and and make it look great. But he has to get new temp plates every 30 days or so. Waht a hassle. Plus if a cop realizes that it isn't a legal car....

why would nj or local police think its illegal? there job is to uphold state/local laws; FYI r33's are federally AND state legal. as long as the OP bought it legally, registered it legally its clear from police.
your friend owns a skyline that may be imported illegally, hence is inability to register it. OP already passed inspection, you cannot get inspection without registration.

BlameXtheLag made a terrible example of his friend who has a shady skyline which cant even be registered and he's trying to compare it to a skyline thats already been REGISTERED and INSPECTED. R33's are already on the import allow list, so whats the issue about legality if NJ registration went through?
my only fear of owning a R33 skyline would be insurance and negative attention but thats just the price of owning gray market car.

Before this thread gets blown apart by everyone or anyone ill say this. It is titled as a r33 skyline, with the proper vin, its registered plated and insured. there are plenty of companies that will insure them.
Ill post pics of the interior when I can. Its legit. just leave it at that. Ive had 3 Skylines already.
If someone wants it, they'll buy it.
