1G: AWD

2G: GSX or GST

The GST can be made to perform admirably, but the GSX is definitely going to put the power down a lot easier (if you're making it).

I know this is an older thread, But in case he has saved up some cash There are a few 1G DSM's up for sale right now that are AWD. I love mine, even tho i am still working out some comfort features with my EVO 8 ECU.

my opinion....you should either save for a gsx or get a honda....going from the evo to a high hp fwd will be a downgrade plus the honda will be a bit more reliable and not to mention better gas mileage.
