how similiar are DSM clutch & flywheels to the EVO?
Well I have a brand new Fidanza flywheel and a ACT2600 I just put in my 95 gsx, Ive been thinking of an evo , went and looked, calculated and contemplated.
Im looking at getting one in the new 6 months or so, Im really looking at the tranny issues everyone’s having and thinking it may not yet be worth my while. I have a fantastic 95 GSX , the only downfall with the car is the tranny. Ive been very close to buying a Shepracing tranny for it for some time now. That would make me not have the desire to buy an evo.
Well enough with the rambling, Is the EVO compatible with the DSM drive parts? Thanks for helping a knoobie out.

I'm pretty sure ACT, Clutchmasters, etc, (any Stateside manufacturers really) could probably give you the low down. Off the top of my head I'd say no just because the orientation of the motor has changed and it has undergone some revisions over the years.
They are completely different. The DSM flywheel is stepped, the EVO is flat. DSM flywheel heavy at 19lbs, EVO flywheel light at 14 lbs. The DSM clutch is small, the EVO clutch is freakin huge. The DSM clutch is a push type, the EVO clutch is a pull type.
