I'm suffering from the same but my car model came with no map lights instead. I really hate that i don't get enough light in the front seat, it gives me a taxi car vibe plus i like checking myself out in the sunvisor mirror frequently.
I added LED light strips on the back side of the B-pillars because there were no lights for the back seats. I wired them to the Map lights so I can turn the strips on and off with them.
I know it's an old thread but I found small battery powered clip on lights at Lowe's. They clip and tuck in nicely under the headrest. My kids swing them out and down when needed then swing them up and under again when not needed. You really don't even notice them .Although you will need to keep your headrests up about 2in.
