I still can't find out what's the big deal. Can someone make a comparison photo with the old vs new front end? Is the old one more aggressive or something? I have literally googled 2011 and 2013 Outlander Sports to see if I can spot the difference and it's either my dyslexia or I just suck at this.

2013:

It's more rounded especially in the lower corners, the lower center section is different, the fog lights are different, and that's mostly it.

Ah I see, the trapezoid is not as sharp on the '13 and the older trapezoid appears to be slightly bigger too, but I do like the under bite thingy on the '13. I also like the old fog light design with the line going back too.

I hate the black plastic on the bottom of the '13s. It makes it look extremely cheap IMO. That feature alone would have most likely pushed me towards a Kia or Hyundai.

Hard? It's one of the first mods I had done considering I've had remote start in every Mitsubishi I've owned since 1997. It sucks getting in a hot car in the summer in Florida, especially with black interior, or getting in a cold car in the winter. I also made sure the factory remote is still functional at that. It's also nice because with the auto-headlights feature, it lights the way for you and sometimes make it easier to find your car in a parking lot.

I had the exact same thoughts, and also didn't like the round reflectors on the rear bumper versus the rectangular-ish ones off the 2012 and earlier.

Aren't all our models equipped with FAST keys? Did you have a hard time installing remote start that's compatible with our Outlander Sport's? My friend said I had a "FASTer key" than he did, being able to start the car from my 2nd floor office.

I don't want to thread jack this thread going off-topic but let me know.

FAST Key is a keyless entry and ignition system which only the SE AND LE model has. ES only has REMOTE keyless entry. Remote starts for push start systems are a bit more complicated to do.

I have a remote start, it wasn't hard at all.

Fortin
EVOCAN EVOCAN
Can-Bus module + a
Viper 5301 Viper 5301
and it works just fine. Range is EXCELLENT with that 5301, FYI.

Do you have to turn the engine back on when you enter your vehicle?

Unfortunately, yes. But it's still warm in the winter and cool in the summer! Valet function works on mine as well, so I can get out, secure the car, come back and drive off while leaving it running.

Learned something new! Thanks for that info on the ES only having the remote keyless entry.
