Anyone figure out a way to get newer iPods/iPhones for be recognized by the stereo? I have been stuck having to stream using bluetooth because it can't recognize my iPod.



FWIW my car is equipped with the rockford and Navi as well. Maybe there is updated software or something like that?

I had the same problem with regular radio. I connected my iPhone into the USB in the center console and it wasn't picking it up. Then one day it worked while I was trying to charge it. My best guess is the latest iOS?

 

the usb to charger import worked for you? or did you do the USB to headphones to get it to work im having trouble in this vebture as well. **** the car is 2011 you would think it would have an AUX in with the rockfordfausgate system and all.

i found this post for the lancer but was not sure if anyone has tried it on our modles, or knows where you can get the 3 wire aux connection kit from?

 

Don't we have an aux port in the console? RCA I thought? Maybe I'm smokin' crack...

regarding OP - I intermittently have this problem, some combination of disconnect reconnect and restarting the car has pretty much made it permanently go away. the biggest problem for me has been changing devices. switching from my iphone to my ipod for example can be a headache but if it's just my iphone consistently things seem to work out.

 

just bought a RCA to 3.5 headphone input to see if it will work ill let ya know when it comes in, the usb to my note II does not play audio thought.
