Hmm I'll have to look into those things. Can check oil tomorrow.

As far as tires, I just bought last month so I assumed tire pressure would be ok. I'll check that too.

And I don't tend to step on gas. I have been trying to get best mpg possible so I've been very cautious!

I'll report back soon, thanks guys!!

I filled up for the first time last weekend. My tank MPG was just over 27. We were quite pleased with that. I drive mixed highway/city to and from work but rarely get over 60-65 mph on the highway.

I'll be happy if we can average 25-26. I drove a Pacifica for 8 years which steadily got 17 mpg.

Outlander Sport is quite an improvement on that so I'm happy!

This is very frustrating for me to read! But, i'm glad you are able to get that high of a mpg! I'm starting to think it's just the gas in the area. I'm by Philly/NJ where it has been very cold last 2 months. Maybe that's a reason??

Need to check my tire pressure sometime this week.

My husband checked the tires last weekend and boy they were so overinflacted by the dealer. They were sitting at 44 and the door indicates they should be 33. He lowered them to 38.

I'm not sure about the cold having an impact. It's also very flat here so that may help.

Just a heads up.
You should check your tire pressure when the tire(s) are cool/cold, preferably right in the morning...

Getting the pressure after you've already driven the vehicle will likely give you inaccurate readings due to the heat buildup > from the brakes, after noon sun, etc.

Last time i checked and this is coming from the dealer is 43psi all around and youre running in the 30's ??? I think mine is over inflated then. Wouldn't look flat in 30's psi?

Well, to me the tires looked fine, I didn't realize they were low until I checked for myself.

And, I think we have low tire pressure sensors in our wheels, I should let out the air just to see how low it needs to get before that warning icon kicks on.

We do have sensors, and I had one activate but would go off once I got on the highway and the temps in the tire rose from the friction, so I may have ignored it for a few days BUT, when I checked it on a cold tire, it was at 27psi. So, I'm going to say it's a safe assumption that the sensors ring somewhere between 27-30psi.

Good to know.
Saves me the trouble of finding out how low it needs to go before we get

Thanks.

( Just to throw this in.. I did not see any tire warning : within range of 30.0 - 30.5 psi )

90% Highway @ 71 mph
99% driven like a grandma lol

Tank 2
21.9 MPG
99% FWD
70% Highway @60 MPH
110 % driven like a grandma

All manually calculated
