Good question.
I haven't gotten an aftermarket air filter yet.. so I'm interested to know also.

Currently, I've heard of (Brands) :

K&N
Cosworth
Perrin

I'm leaning towards Cosworth..

Can confirm! COSWORTH and k and n evo filters fit in Outlander Sport as well. K and n comes with extra hard bracket so it fits the air box.

Yes, I purchased the one for the evo and outlander and the 2013 air box is different, The new box has a rounded corner in the bottom rear of the air box

Much appreciated.. Thanks for saving me the time & hassle. Well, I guess I'm really leaning towards the Cosworth filter now...

I just which a local vendor carries them, I'd like to see one in person before I make the purchase.

Let me know if you find one to fit the 2013 sports - The box is definitely different for the 2013 I've called both K&N and have not found any info on Cosworth

Oh that really, really sucks. Being able to use EVO X panel filters was extremely convenient. Yet another thing I just want to ask Mitsu "WTF were you thinking?"
