SO SLOW! Help!

I did three acceleration test, best 0-100kph was slightly less than 11, averaged about 11 sec. 1/4 about 18.8 with 81 mph.

I did KN panel filter, enlarged the intake snorkel still so slow. Oh my god, I can't live with it~!

Any other mod I can do to to increase the power without avoiding warranty? I know there is a timing control box from RRM, any body tried that yet? Their dyno result was from a lancer GTS, no help. Plus, I found someone said it may give a CEL. So RRM right now actually tunes the timing box based on the altitude of your location, but, what if I go visit a friend in another location?

anyway, just complaining. I am not getting good MPG and no good power, the car is not spacious for five and it has no towing capacity. I am feeling very very very bad now~!!!!

I do find one good thing tho, the AWD system. It was the strongest reason that I got this car. I am passing it to my wife next year, so I wasn't thinking that much at that time....

Yea I think you're pretty SOL without a motor swap and much more. Just suck it up for a year.

Panel after, COSWORTH or k and n, the Mobil full synthetic 0_20 frees up some in my opinion. But in a n/a 2.0 there isn't too much. You could take out the spare tire and tool kit, or get a lighter exhaust. Never will be the fastest but paddle shifters at least get you into moved faster and even keep it in its powerband vs auto looking for eco mode. But with the air filter, Mobilit gets around quick enough in the city. Oh, and it's 4wd is legit. Especially for camping and bad weather.

OP,
yeah man, let it out.. We feel your pain > Our O.Sport's motor Definitely leaves one wanting...

BUT, this is not a performance SUV, if you wanted that, then perhaps a BMW X3, Porsche Cayenne, or an Audi Q5...
I'd even recommend a Mazda CX-7 turbo 4banger... my friend just picked up an used 2011 model and that thing has the same motor that's in the Mazdaspeed3 (De-Tuned, of course) BUT still cranks out a respectable 244 bhp (182 kW)@5000 RPM, 258 lb·ft (350 N·m)@2500 RPM!!

However, I still take our O.Sports even with the anemic motors Because of its AWD and great looks.

My recommendation would be to try a higher octane gas to see if that improves your MPG, at least.

Thanks everyone. I don't know why but I just feel bad from time to time. I have already removed the spare tire and tool. I also tried higher octant fuel. Man, you just don't know how many thing I have tried, I have also strictly controlled the amount of the wind shield fluid! All this help a bit but not much.

BTW, how the Hyundai owners complain their bad MPG? None of us is ever thinking of doing the same thing? Now I am getting almost 12L/100km in the city and i am going to take it to the highway tomorrow to see the MPG.

You switched to Mobil day 1? Diaqueen makes the oem 0w-20 that comes with the car. My wife and I both noticed an improvement when switching g the oils.

Sell the car if you can't live with it.

There is no way you'll get much power out of an N/A 2.0L motor in a 3300lb vehicle without loosing warranty.
