Roof Rack?
Although no roof rails... are there no fixed points on the roof?
According to the Thule website this was the second option; like the sportback lancer.
The OEM kit comes with cross bars and the towers, the issue is that the OEM version is only designed for roof rails.
I had Inno Rhino aero rack system (which they claim to be universal on most cars) on my lancer for the first year. You should be able to find it for about 230 to 250.
For the more popular brands:
Yakima does not have clips for there q towers specifically for the 2013 outlander sport. There only options are that for a roof rail and the fixed points that i pictured above.
The same goes for Thule as they do not ofer another option beyond the fixed points and roof rail.

I notice at Cerritos Mitsu they were selling 13 O.S non rails w oem roof racks. so I'm sure you can just start at the dealer. Tell them your a member of a forum or something usally they'll give you a discount depending which mitsu dealer you go to.
Hoping this works, havent posted a picture before. But this is Thule square bar system and fairing on my Outlander sport with out factory rails. I shopped all over for this and got the best price at Auto Anything with free shipping and use cupon code FIRST15 for 15% off.
Just a follow up note, if you have a 2013 like i do make sure you search it as 2012 or it will not show fittment.

I think I'm going to hold off on the roof racks since my only reason for wanting one is to relocate my spare up there and after doing some research, it completely ruins your vehicle's aerodynamics, mpg, and adds a ton of wind noise to this already noisy vehicle.
The one thing
did really well with the O. Sport is the aerodynamics. Drag Coefficient (Cd) is only 0.33!!! [Source] If you're not big into physics, I'll just point out that the Buggati Veyron has a Cd of 0.41 for normal driving, and 0.36 when in "racecar" mode and it lowers it self and puts up the spoiler. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bugatti_Veyron]
Now, of course, there is plenty of room for improvement there, and most "econo" style passenger cars are lower, like the Nissan Altima & Maxima (0.34 and 0.32, respectively). Most Toyota economy sedans & hatches, along with most luxury sedans & coupes (Audi A2, A4, & A5, Merc. Benz C-Class and S-Class sedans & coupes (for the most part), and most Lexus sedans), along with a few hybrid CUV's (RAV4 Hybrid & Escape Hybrid) are all down in the .20's. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automobile_drag_coefficient]
Overall, the O. Sport is the most aerodynamic non-hybrid CUV on the market. With the already anemic little engine, I wouldn't put any more resistance on it than necessary. We all know how hard it has to work (and how thirsty it gets) just to get itself up a hill!!!

While i understand not everyones experiance will be the same i have experianced very minimul if any loss of fuel effeciency. As far as wind noise goes with the set up i have it is non exsistant. Now when my mountian bikes are on the rack there is a small decrease in my average for that tank of about 1mpg and a very small amount of wind noise. My fuelly has notes on the tanks where i used the rack to haul my mountian bikes. I'm guessing that you are wanting to do a basket on the rack inorder to haul a full size spare? If this is the case your experiance would probably be a bit differant. Never know untill someone tries

I have a Yakima load warrior roof basket for my camping gear. With just the unloaded basket on the roof, on a highway that I average about 28-30 mpg I average 20-23 with the empty basket. With camp gear in it it dips to 19-21 mpg on that same highway. It's THAT dramatic of a drop with a high profile basket like the load warrior.
Note to self: never put a basket on my rack
That is an insaine differance. +1 on the Run flat idea.

Just searched for some Run Flat tires for our little CUVs...
ouch!
Run Flat tires : Outlander Sport (ASX/RVR)
I'm thinking I'll just tie the spare donut to the hitch instead.

If you get a roof rack. you may also want to get the newer ones that comes w aero bars. makes less sound and saves your gas a bit rather than the square bar set up. Oem Mitsu thule come with aerobar set up
What exactly are fixed points? Because I took a look at where my roof rails would be and noticed there are 4 plastic cover things, one on each corner of the rails, so I'm guessing we do have fixed points?
