Later today I will be getting all my windows tinted. 5% for rear windows & rear windshield. Most likely 15% for front windows. 70% for front windshield and a large 5% tint strip across the windshield. Then I will be dipping my wheels black as well. After that I have to consult with my local stereo shop to which headunit I want to get, and order the metra dash kit too. I have also emailed LeatherSeats.com for their Outlander Sport leather seat kit. Then I have to reinstall my headrest monitors after the leather seats are in and finally, I have to figure out where to remount my damn train horns. It comes with a 2 gallon air tank, compressor, and 4 bells.

It's always a challenge trying to figure out how to fit a train horn kit in every new vehicle I get.

I've had this same kit from my rav4, to Juke, to Mustang. Simple to uninstall and transfer, but very tedious.

Didn't get to see what was said after my last comment, but I heard it was good. Been busy all day installing dash kit, radio, and wiring up my headrest monitors again.

I'll get some better pictures up some other day. Already had girls pointing out my car with the windows rolled down playing music videos tonight while on a KFC run for the lady, lol. This feels good, real good. Reminds me of my SUV days. I can't wait for the snow!

Just ordered a backup camera that fits into the backup camera slot on the hatch. I didn't even know there was a cut out for it until my installer pointed it out!

VERY Nice.

Well, I was never one for the video-in-the-headrests, but that's definitely a sweet setup.

I posted a pretty lengthy comment and then the moderators deleted everything except for the trollers comment about wanting to key your car.

Love the audio setup! We've had that Pioneer AVIC-D3 for almost 7 years now and it's never let us down! Is that the Metra double-din dash kit as well? I didn't like how it was matte black, with the other part being the OEM Piano Black, so I'm wrapping it in carbon fiber before I put our new navi unit in.

Did you get the headrests that have the slots to put the DVD's in as well?

I should have just sold you our OEM backup camera, because I don't like how it aims straight downward. I don't ever plan on having a tow-hitch, so I just bought the Pioneer ND-BC6 to add on to the system.

Great job so far!

The headrests I have are Myron & Davis from 2008. I have used them in every single vehicle since then. Costed me $1000 with install back then! They are the ones with memory so it's automatically on your last video source when you start your vehicle. They don't have DVD slots, as I don't need them. All my Music Videos, Movies, TV Shows come from my 160gb ipod.

The most important thing about a backup camera to me is to be able to see the edge of my bumper and straight down the horizon behind me, but mainly seeing my bumper as I only use it to parallel park.

I read your comment and wholeheartedly agreed with what you said. Wished the admin/modas left what you wrote.

What they did by wiping such comments is quite heavy handed and repressive, Especially towards our military veterans - You guys above all others should be allowed to speak your peace (Whenever you choose.)

Let's see if someone "Tiananmen Square" my comments.

The license plate wedges were good, but the 4 LED festoons were worthless. Not enough lumens at all. If anyone else wants to take the red led route, try to find the ones with festoon base, and 30led rectangle lamps/circuit board. I had one of those in blue and they lit up my entire interior real good.

The license plate white led wedges were decent.

I'll try to remember to get a picture of the white led parking lights later

Just got home, but I don't think it's dark enough outside yet.

I really like how it's white instead of the yellow bulb though. I drive with parking lights on all the time.

Wes,
I don't suppose you took any pics of the back of the stereo trim piece? I want to see where all the clips are located before I attempt to pop mine off.

I got something even better. (Download the attached PDF)

Also, does anyone know how to set the doors to automatically lock when you drive? I've looked through the entire manual already.

You need to access the ETACS ECU for that option. Dealers can do it with their MUT, but most won't or [claim to] don't know how.

Otherwise, see here: ETACS options customization
