Exclamation Airbag system service required!?

I just received this message today after my tinter finished up my vehicle.

After reading wewt's post, my seat was pushed back because my tinter is tall as hell. Guess I'll check the seat rails before I take it to service.

"Found DTC B223D OCM and B1BA3 driver's seat track position sensor fault. Found
both codes are due to communication error. Found aftermarket wiring attached to
ETAC's wiring. Suspect possible aftermarket wiring affecting communication."

They cleared the error code and said it -shouldn't- happen again. Well, guess what? The same error message pops up everytime after I push the driver's seat all the way back and turn the engine off. The dealership seems to think the aftermarket wiring originated from my AEM UEGO WB but I've had the WB for like 5 months now and I've never seen that error message before up until last week. Has anyone else experience this with their AEM WB? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Make sure the seat belt plug isnt hanging slightly on. We unplugged them on an 09 wrx to stop the dinging and it immediately set all that stuff off. Try and unplug that and plug it back in

Did he tint the windshield? I've heard horror stories of tinters using too much spray to either clean or apply the tint, and it runs down into the dash wreaking havoc on the electrical system.

Perhaps it's just a loose pressure sensor connector.. If like you said the tinter scooted the seat back - while he was in it - may cause the seat to slide back pretty hard to have jar something...

Check under the passenger seat too. The pressure sensor is fairly sensitive.. You can place a small book in the seat and it will register.

NOTE:
Looking at your cluster, I never seen/noticed that tiny "down arrow toward a buttom" icon on the right under the temperature... Is that indicating something wrong to the passenger side??

I checked the harness' under the seat, wiggled it around, pushed them together, nothing. I disconnected the battery for a few minutes and it's still there. I heard that with these Mitsubishi codes, even a battery disconnect can't reset them. You need to do it with a scan tool since these sensors have battery backups. I really hope it's not the water doing some permanent damage to the airbag system.

The down arrow is pointing to the info button so I can hide the alert message.

Well, THAT would be a Very odd electrical issue.. cause if that's the case then what happens when we leave our windows down (accidentally) during a light rain storm...? All of us would be driving around with faulty SRS/Airbags then.

I still think your tinter knocked off/alignment of the seat sensors > Our O.Sports have a seat position sensor on the driver side, so maybe you should move the seat completely forward and completely back just to see if anything is ajar.

he's referring to my post, about the tinter getting fluid down into the dash, which is very unlikely to happen just by leaving a window down in the rain.

Yes, I understand.
But, I was just taking your "possible" scenerio further and thought about rain... you haven't seen some of the extreme rain storms we had lately. They come down in sheets, Sideways!

I used AutoZone's one reader and couldn't even get a code to come up! Even tried resetting it by disconnecting both terminals and draining all electrical. Also tried moving the seat back and forth a dozen times.

Here's a thought..
Could he have accidentally kicked or knocked loose the knee airbag or its wiring connection under the steering column?

Almost forgot to mention after the dash kit install, the SRS warning went away! I've heard of people getting the SRS light after a dash kit install, but having it go away afterwards?! Oh well. Works for me

I Installed a ASWC-1 and got too excited to test my connection and forgot to reconnect the airbag and there goes the Airbag System Required, any workaround to reset this before I make a trip to the dealership?

They reset it for me and it hasn't come back on anymore. It's been several thousand miles already with no light.
