Plasti Dip and wheels

Has anyone plasti dipped their wheels anything other than a solid color? I dipped my wheels balck, but would still like some of the chrome to show. I've always liked the wheels that combine chrome and black. The stock wheels on the 2013 LE models have that nice bladed look and I was thinking of peeling the dipp from teh flat part on the face of teh wheel and leaving the insides of the spokes black.

Has anyone else done anything similar?

Would anyone be interested in a threat solely dedicated to Plasti Dip on here?

That is exactly what I was thinking of doing! Thought about staggering the outside of the wheel edge as well.
I just blacked out the center color and the Mitsu triangles yesterday (on the wifes grey OS). She's a "Green" color fan, so I'm contemplating doing the chrome trim around the grill in that color and maybe the lower black trim just to set it off and be unique.

But,,,, If you do the wheels like you've stated, PLEASE do a write up on them with some photo's, material's and technique.

The end result of my dipping from the other day is here https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/10908655-post178.html

I will try to get out thre today and peel one of the wheels and see how it looks. I may go both routes and peel one to give it the bladed look ikn chrome and one with the insides chromed.

The easiest way to do that is to tape off the area you want chrome, apply the paint in a thick coat and quickly peel off the tape while the paint is still wet

Check out dipyourcar.com for lots of good info

I looked on their site and watched a lot of videos before doing it. Only problem is I already have the wheels all black, so I am going to have to carve it off. I don't want to peel it all and then re-dip the wheels.

It really might be easier that way though. It's definitely worth a try, just order some of those plastic razor blades that vinyl wrap installers use so that you don't mar the chrome.
