Rav4, Juke, Mustang, but this is their pricing. Then he gives me a quote of $70 something for just that, but then realized I needed synthentic OW-20, which will bring the cost to well over $100. After that I just left because I wasn't prepared to spend over $100 today for routine maintenance. Is this for real?! How much have you guys paid for your maintenance? Is this just a Mitsubishi thing?
That's why I change oil at Honda. In Canada, honda oil change is 64 Tax in for 0w-20 synthetic. Plus the oil is better, my mits dealer is using Mobil super before was The OEM from Japan. But the only headache is to reset the oil life!

dear lord...
Do they offer a foot massage with that price too?

Guess that dealer is use to sheep not knowing there's a coupon/waiver for 1st oil changes.

The only issue with going to another place (Honda or any other) is you're not able to record your scheduled maintenance on Mitsubishi network system, especially since you have a brand new RVR.

If at anytime in the future you really needed warranty work, no Mitsu dealer(s) will be able to pull up "any" of your record of having "properly" maintained your vehicle with regular servicings, of any sort on their system...

Yes, you'll have receipts of said oil change, etc.
But, they can dispute it by stating it's for another car or some such...

Know what I mean?

This is highway robbery, holy crap!

First off, look into the "Magnuessen-Moss Warranty Act". It provides protections that allow you to perform your own maintenance if you so choose, without voiding your warranty. It COULD cause a headache, so bear that in mind.

Quick question. Should I buy 4 or 5 quarts of oil for our 4.2qts of oil capacity in our engine? Would there be enough residual oil left over in the engine to cover the 0.2qts?

Just buy 5 and save the leftover for next oil change.

Buy 5 for sure, there is not enough left over to cover the 0.2qts.

That's cheap.

Here in Euroland it's normal to pay for all of your maintenance.
Our ASX diesel just had it's 45.000km maintenance done. Oilchange, dieselfilter, oilfilter, pollenfilter, a seal here, a seal there, some whiperfluid etc etc. €230

I buy my own oil mobil1 and mobil1 filter then have my local mechanic I trust do the change and the tire rotation. costs me about $55-65 parts and labor. I rotate my tires with every oil change.

Mobil1 0w-20 is $24-26 for a 5qt jug at walmart, one of the only places you will find a 5qt instead of 4qt jug where the price is not $40..... the filter is about $12 the rest is my labor for the change and tire rotation.

My work charges 65 bucks for a 0W-20 synthetic oil change and 20 bucks for the rotation. Take the car elsewhere because over a hundred bucks is flat out ridiculous. Besides, we have a few lancers that come in that need 0W-20 and they opt for standard 5W-20 and have no problems whatsoever. 0W-20 is just another way to help improve gas mileage and that's why all the new hybrids (except Hyundai and Kia) use that type of weight.

Guess we should load up on a case of 0W-15...
Wonder if we can hit 40MPGs with that!

Used the first free oil change coupon from Mitsubishi today and here's what else I found out.

-Tire Rotations are $29 so I declined
-If I bring my own oil they will charge me $15-$20 for labor
-NO OPTION TO AUTO-LOCK WHEN SHIFT TO DRIVE!!
-My Airbag light is due to my aftermarket NAV install shorting out the airbag light on the center console or something like that

Oil was changed at 5,900 miles/6-7 months since purchase
