[Off Topic] 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA45 AMG

The 2015 GLA45 AMG is powered by the CLA45's turbocharged 2.0-liter I-4 that
makes 355 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque, and Mercedes says the CUV
can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds. The CLA45 AMG hit 60 mph in a
Motor-Trend tested 4.2 seconds
-- 0.3 seconds quicker than the automaker's estimate --
so don't be surprised if the GLA45 AMG can do the sprint in 4.5 seconds.

Not bad.

looks more like a hatchback than a CUV after watching that video. I'm not sure how I feel about that...

Must be the speed of that thing...
The "speed blur" gives it that optical illustion of it being longer and squattier than it really is and that's why it looks like a hatchback - in the video.

(How's that for a heavy dose of BS PR spin?)

That thing has nice specs, but it looks like it fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

They just released it as a DLC car in Forza 5. The interior is nice, stock power is nice, outside of that, do not want.

Ever since Daimler Benz got in bed with Chrysler I think their designers got food poisoning or contracted some kind of VD (Visual disease) and just puked out ugly cars left and right...

With what I called their "pinched" nose designs on their S-Class to those weird "smashed" nose themes on their SLKs

I just went to look up the price point on the GLA45 and it is not out yet, but what I did find is that it is built off of the CLA45. The CLA45 starts out at $47,500 before the extras cool factor options are added. It is a slick car as well the 4 banger is very impressive to hit that kind of HP and produce a 0-60mph time of 4.8 seconds with a curb weight of around 3,500lbs. the bonus is that the only upgrade I would want is the secondary exhaust flap the describe in their performance add on package that would give an even more aggressive driving tone.
The night package is cool for the guys wanting to murder out their ride with out having to do it yourself or an under rated 3rd party body shop to do it, and the CF package it cool as well, front grill, rear defusser, mirrors, and interior.
You can also get red AMG rotors for an additional cost and their 20" split 5 star signature wheels as well. I did not see the option for the rear wing but I am sure it will come on a track package they will offer as well.
All in all.....yeah I want one lol! Come on lotto!

Yeah.
I'm the type who likes to keep tabs on what's in the market. No matter the price/luxury etc etc.
Just so I know what IS possible.

It's just sad to realize that Mitsu already have a similarly powerful motor and transmission but refuses to impliment it on their SUV/CUVs.

(And, it's nice to know that in 2015 Mitsu will come out with newer "hybrid" engines that may/should be as powerful. However, that's just like computer companies telling us there will be even more powerful CPUs in the coming years... Yeah, yeah. Good to hear BUT what about right now.)
