$240 + Tax : Schedule Services

Hmm..
It's considered their Recommended Services for the 15K interval...

Oil change
Throttle body service
Fuel injection service
Air filter
Tire Rotation

We're currently at 16.6K+

What say you?

Bring own oil, bring own filter, get tire rotation done by quick lube for $15-20 and save the receipt. This alone is a savings of over $100

Use the coupons I posted the other day for the Oil Change & Tire Rotation and buy an air filter for WAY less than dealer price on Amazon. TB service and fuel system service seems unnecessary at only 16k, but if you can knock the price down substantially through the methods above it might not be a waste.

Thanks guys.
I was thinking the same.. Oil, filter, and rotation - those I can manage myself and save quite a bit.

I just wasn't sure what's involved with the TB & FI service...
They just going to spray some B-12 Chemtool down the TB?
or drop a can of Gumout in my tank??

Who's to know or be the wiser...

Burton,
I wish I can get that air-filter... Remember I have a 2013, which can't use those filters! It's So Lame.

I put 2013 Outlander Sport SE into the "enter your vehicle" and Amazon claimed it would fit. I can't verify beyond that though.

I see..
Well, here's the "diaper" air filter I've been talking about (since day 1, but just been too lazy to post it up until now.)

for 2013 and newer - we get this terrible geriatric-looking thing >

Along with the altered airbox that's narrower with shorter metal clips as seen below >

^
Because of this design change, we are not able to use the filter element or aftermarket (Drop-in) hi-flow filters that is compatible with 2008-2012 lancer/EVOs...

We got screwed.

My friend..
THAT is exactly what I barfed out, when I saw it the very first time!

I thought it was some kind of misplaced aquarium filter... I had to double check the airbox - thinking there was some mistake.

Then reality set in > it was a big pile of donkey

I also entered the specs and yeah Amazon's website did claim "This fits..." BUT because it is using a generic stock photo (which don't even look like it would fit our 2013's)

So, I doubt it.
