Well, from the looks of them the lens is MUCH thicker glass, so I don't think I need to ScotchCal them.
I don't know yet. I'll figure it out once I have the units in my hands.
We'll see if I need to fabricate some mounts or they can use the stock brackets.
Don't know, if they are the same 76mm/3in diameter openings, then you should be able to use them in older RVRs.

Much thicker glass. The lens is actually a glass ball, it's used to project the LEDs I have these on mine, we had to fabricate a mount and actually used the blanks that were originally on my car to do so. (Mine was a base so didn't come with fogs)
Mine are wired up to have the halo act as a DRL, always on while the car is on, no way to shut them off. When the headlights turn on, the fog lights come on. With the halo still lit it makes the light look icy-blue, which the only issue I have with that is it makes my headlights look slightly yellow in comparison.
Just the car on (parking lights are on, but don't have to be for the DRL to be on):
Lights on:
Gotta see them once you've got them all hooked up!

Cool.
So, did you tap into the fuse box or the parking light wiring?

Not wanting to just cut&solder into the stock wiring, I've decided to order a few of these too >
Which I'll use to make the custom wiring harness and make the Fogs/DRLs a true 'plug-n-play' project.
(In case I ever need/want to swop back the stock units.)
Ok, just noti\ced I only said they were hooked up via fuse box earlier. They're actually hooked up via both fuse box (for the halos) and the headlights (for the actual fogs).
Halos:
Fog light tapped into the driver's headlight:
Fog light tapped into passenger's headlight:
Red wire: positive from fuse to power Halo as DRL (always on)
Brown/Blue wires: positive & negative from Headlights to power the Fogs (only on while headlights on)
A friend of mine also suffered the same fate as mRVRSport and we ended up with a different fix.
Here is a write up for a cheap fix from our fellow Ralliart colleagues as the fog light glass has a generic size (3.5"): https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/09...lass-16-a.html
I understand it can still be slightly more expensive than by going for the Chinese fog/halo combination: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-Car-Angel...RYRmp9&vxp=mtr
However, you may have to reseal these halos as well to prevent moisture to enter, plus you can preserve the OEM electrical connections/wires. In addition, these have only an inch smaller (2.5") diameter reflector (fog only; light output may be lower) than the stock (3.5"). Finally, do not forget the ease of mounting/alignment since you have the OEM house.
I still think the metal mesh in front of the glass is the cheapest protection but not everybody likes the look or not as easy to apply on other makes and models as in the OS/RVR. It is holding up well for me for 4 years even though my city is putting a lot of small gravel on the streets besides salt during winter.
