Oh god, I've seen how expensive those housings are and that's been a fear of mine for a long while.

It's a bit late now, I realize, but I've planned on (but have yet to actually get around to) using some type of clear-bra film on them to help prevent this from happening.

I wish I knew what struck it...

Well, the good news is my wife said "Whatever it takes, get it fixed."
So, I may look into upgrading those to something Better.
Been considering some aftermarket HID kits

Sorry to hear about your misfortune mRVRsport. I have been worried about such a hit from day one. I removed the plastic cover and trimmed a circular shape fine stainless steel wire mesh into it and placed in front of the fog light. I have also painted the mesh black as I have a black car. If you go with this option you may wish to consider painting the mesh with Plastidip instead to further dampen the force of impact. I do not use the fog light often but I have not noticed significant reduction in luminosity if this would be your concern. The wires are about 0.1" apart in my mesh in both directions.

Thank you for your suggestions.
I'll have to come up with something for sure to prevent this from happening again -after I decide what to replace the cracked lens with.

So, I called up my local dealer's parts department today >
Wanting to JUST get a replacement lens for the cracked fog light...

If I wanted to buy just that ONE side fog light unit, it's going to cost me $288.68

OR,

As the Parts guy mentioned... I could buy the "Fog Light Kit" which includes both sides for $260 !

So, I guess I'm going to have to look into alternatives -

This caught my eye >

And, these really tweaked my interest >>

BUT, the company that hosted this video seems to be out of business

I suggest you get a set with projector lenses. Getting one on Ebay is a hit-or-miss thing. Try to get a photo of the cutoff first before buying. In my case, I used the ASX's stock head lamp projectors and sealed these with a radiator sealant for an HID retrofit.

Or this http://www.ebay.com/itm/231338292785?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D231338292785%26_rdc%3D1 from Ebay for a fraction of the cost.

Time to refresh this thread!
I know it's been awhile, but I think I finally found the LED fogs/kit I like.

Will post photos as soon as they arrive.

Did you go Cree or LED like these? http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Best-...341353189.html It is amazing how many options there are. I am think of going to a Cree H11 bulb in my fogs.

I think I'm going with then xml2 bulb. high lumen output but only if the color matches my headlights.

I do not think 19 or 17 are the lens/lamp; merely trim.

1. They are COB LEDs with Halo Rings.
2. No kidding, that's why it's taken me so damn long to decide on what I really wanted to replace them with..

3. Well, since the entire glass lens is cracked, I couldn't just go with replacement bulbs... I had to buy the whole housing (with new lens).

These are what I've ordered >

Nice! Better throw some ScotchCal on them. How do they mount up? Will you cannabalize the old ones for mounts/ Too bad they don't work on the older RVRs.
