What the Heck is This For?

OK - I'm stumped - or maybe I missed it during my RTFM session. WHAT is the purpose of the "door handle" in the center of the rear bumper?

I'll get a pic of what I use it for. I have a curt class 3 hitch that I wired down behind the back bumper and it sits behind that "handle" and when I need to hook up my trailer I open the door handle and bam there is my plug.

Cool. Thx guys! But a "rear fog light"? WTH?? Looks more like a low mounted stop light. If there was a white one available to use as a backup lamp I'd get it for sure. Anyone ever see one?

Im gonna look for one. I was looking at getting a light that fits into my hitch and plugs into the trailer lights to help*with backing up. My windows are 20% so night time I struggle to back up. If that fog light thing can be had with a clear lense and wired to come on when backing that would be nice

I'll definitely buy a clear one! Maybe that guy "Infected" in YYC who has customized the heck out of his RVR (and goes to China a lot it seems) can get a line on one?

Yes, Google and I are very close. I also know the difference between CLEAR and RED. There are lots of red ones; it is clear I want. Thanks though...

I don't think you'll find a clear one - any rear fog light I've ever seen was red.

You gave me an idea: Drill thought he door handle and have LEDs in it. I wonder where to get a spare in case it does not go as planned. I might get a red one in the mean time though. Would wire it up to the running lights (although I better check the traffic code to be safe)

Not hard at all , if you order the light it comes with the retaining clip all you do is remove the cover and pop in the light .....wiring is up to you . I ran a wire from the light to the Aux power plug and use that and just plug in when I need it . Mines a lease so I didn't do anything to mine that I can't take back out when the time comes
