NEW QUESTION:

Do you keep your roof rack/ Crossbars on all the time or do you only put them on when you need?

Reason i am asking is because of the wind noise, it is very noticeable on mine.

There is anecdotal evidence that these crossbars:
a) reduce gas mileage
b) reduce car stability, esp. in cross winds and
c) add noise

I am pulling ours off the Pathfinder.

i have them on all the time, and I have the glass roof and I see no reason to take them off I have seen no gas mileage drop what so ever, and I don't not notice any noise.
