With the aluminum roof and thin sheet metal trunk, such things do not exist. There is one guy who has done it on his RS, I believe, but it's really eating into the metal.

there was a thread about roof racks.
I believe the yakima roof rack works as it grabs the door frame part. The thule does not as it rests on the roof itself. hope this helps.

This is a stupid answer. Not everyone can afford, or wants two vehicles.

I'll be looking at something for myself and my Mt. Bike, and Kayak later in the year.

My Evo is my SUV.

i don't want to spend more money for another car, that's why i am looking a solution/alternative to this at this moment.
i know it is probably better having another practical vehicle, but look, it is just a hobby/recreation activity, and you expect everyone to buy a SUV?
maybe you make very good money, but others don't, u know.... be respectful

You are an idiot. That, or you're too busy living your life a quarter mile at a time.

There are more than a few of us who enjoy outdoor sports. I spend a few days a month mountain biking, and am currently storing a canoe and a kayak at a friends house because I don't have a rack for the evo. I don't really want to put one on, but it would make life a lot easier when I go out to play. Stuffing the bike in my trunk is a pain, too. A rack might not be jdm or whatever you think is cool, but they are functional for those of us who have fun outside.

If you don't wish to contribute in a positive manner, might I suggest going off and finding those " next 10 seconds"

You can use the saris trunk mount racks. I used mine before. altho let me tell you that all trunk racks will scratch the paint a bit with use!
