better audio w/Bluetoof and Android

this wont be as big an improvement as it was on my crappy Bose system in my other car that sounded like the speakers were covered by a blanket, but it may add some improvement.

i had the Viper4Android FX app on my phone that came with a ROM i installed, but never tried it until yesterday. it corrected the crappy EQ from the Bose amp - turns out the speakers arent the problem. major improvement!

individual settings for headphones/bluetooth/phone speakers/dock.

heres the thread from XDA Developers:

here is the download link:

you may need to be rooted, but it may work otherwise. i just dug up an old smartphone, put V4A on it, and loaded it up with music to leave in my armrest.

The Bluetooth streaming in the RF system sounds great already, but the DSP software is weird. It's almost like it applies different EQ and limiting for each song. Ex, I have several tracks on a thumb drive from the band Bring me the Horizon. When played on my fairly high end home stereo the tracks all sound fairly consistent, however on the RF system, some sound too bassy and some have more of a mids and highs push. Maybe my ears are too critical.

what's in the article is not what it is ... yet.

its just a database for song info ... album/artist/title, etc. on my Evo, you could rip CD's to the built-in harddrive (... very slowly ), and Gracenote would apply the info to the ripped songs. you had to update it to get it to recognize newer CD's.
