Correct OEM Oil Filter for 15 OS GT 2.4L

Cant seem to get a accurate direct answer from the web or this forum on what the correct OEM oil part number is for a 2015 Outlander Sport GT 2.4L.

I saw a thread on here that said the part number is MZ690072 but im failing to see where its mentioning its for a 2.4L engine, only the 2.0L

It is still the same as all the other 2.4s and 2.0. So that is the correct filter.

MZ690072 is the longer version. And MZ690116 is the shorter version, and it's also the more current. They fit all the 08+ 2.0 and 2.4 engines. Here's an image of them both.

Im guessing the shorter one is probably wants on my new vehicle now then? If the filter is longer, id assume youd need to be putting in more oil then what the manual says ( 4.5qt)

Yep The shorter one is what comes oem now. It would be about the same. The shorter is fatter but the longer is just thinner. I would assume they both hold about the same amount of oil.
