Swapping Car Battery
Swapping Car Battery
Hey guys,
I'm going to swap my car battery after work and was wondering if I had to remove the air ramp thing first or if I just slide the car battery from the sides.
Here's what I'm talking about:

Cheers,
Jay

You'll need to remove that snorkel to have full access to the battery, it's held down with a battery strap/rods (Just make sure you don't loose those small bolts when you unscrew them.)

I would either connect a 12V DC power supply or keep the old battery connected while you connect the new one. This way everything will remain powered (no potential error messages (airbags in particular), whatever was programmed in the head unit remain intact, even your clock).
So i couldn't find the screws to unplug the snorkel, i found 2 connectors near the front of the snorkel but they didn't take any type of screw drivers. What I did do was disconnect the snorkel connecting to the box. The snorkel was still connected by the front.
This was a major pain, and still managed to squeeze the battery out but broke one of the connectors on the front.
I got the new battery installed and started the car with no error message (thank god).
Can someone show me how to take the snorkel fully out for future reference?

There are 2 pop push "thingys", you just need to get a small screw driver to pull up the middle and then pull them out. There like a removable pop rivet. Then just pull the snorkel out of the air box. Ta Da. done....
can anyone confirm if this is the correct clip fastener for the snorkel?
