spacers will put extra load/stress on your wheel bearings .

I installed 25mm spacers on our OS about 2k miles ago. No issues what so ever. As stated above, there will be added stress to your wheel bearings. I have been running spacers on all my vehicles since 2006, from VW's to Nissans and now our OS. GET EM!

Hawaii Dave and Hamman are both correct. There will be some additional wear on the bearings, but just like every other wheel/tire/suspension mod or adjustment, the impact will depend on what exactly you do. A 5 or 10 mm (small) spacer? You probably won't even notice the wear. A 35+ mm spacer? You'll likely see it.

Find the balance that fits your needs/budget.

Like Burton said, any to all mods and aftermarket parts will have some effect on your ride. Honestly, I have always gone with 25mm spacers on my past rides and on our Outlander and have never had a wheel bearing go bad and I am a hard driver. In my xterra that goes wheeling/overlanding every weekend, wheel bearings are still good after 20k miles with spacers.
