CVT, 2.4GT. its great for what it is - under no illusions its "fast", but the 2.4L is perfectly fine for getting around. never drove a 2.0L, but i don't think i'd be too happy with it..

test drove some Subaru CVT's, and they felt "rubber band-y" - did not like.
the OS CVT is nice and even a little on the "touchy" side - will chirp the tires if you're too heavy on the throttle from a stop. LOL
it's my first and only car with a CVT and i have no problems at all with it..

Manual trans owner here!

I'm a 50 y/o male, with a 2015 octane blue es, with 72k on the odometer. Not a hiccup as of today; been to the dealership for one recall. That's it. Great little truck; hope you enjpy yours, mdc!

I think the 5 speed makes the OS a hoot to drive and my MPG’s have been excellent.

Lol, it would be nice. I don’t do much wandering at night and compared to my Mirage’s interior lighting it’s like Times Square inside the OS.

I have a 2018 5-speed and absolutely no regrets. I test drove both the 2.0 and 2.4 CVT's and found the 5-speed to be way more comfortable and a better match for the engine than the CVT's.

Keep looking it me about 4 months but found 1 in PA 2018 16k miles for $14,128 out the door. Read this and you can remind the dealer.
