3rd gen Os compatible parts

I’m looking to have everyone stock pile the compatible parts between the evo x, and the ralliart that can be directly swapped to the outlander sport.

from information I’ve gathered so far, you can use the evo x cams, cam gears, suspension but I’m looking for more in depth parts

can you adapt the gsr and ditch the cvt and if so what kind of tuning will need to be done if you have information based solely for performance I’d like see everyone gather that info in one spot.

You can certainly put the 5 speed manual from the Lancer in the OS. Mine came from the factory with the manual transmission and it is a joy to drive.

The 4th and 5th gear is different. Th 5th for the OS is .82 and the Lancer is .775. I plan to swap out to the smaller lancer gear once I find a transmission mechanic.

With larger diameter tires that lower ratio 1st gear ratio of 3.538 won't be fun.

Here are my ratios:Transmission Model: F5MBB

Engine Model: 4B11

Transmission Type: 5 speed, floor shift

1st: 3.833

2nd: 1.913

3rd: 1.333

4th: 1.028

5th: 0.82

Reverse: 3.583

Final Drive Ratio: 4.235

Believe me even 3.833's for first isn't low enough. Since the 4B11 has basically zero torque in the lower rpm range and twitchy throttle response it is a nuance to keep the rpm's between 500-1000 rpm as you engage. A toe's worth of extra throttle input will send your rpm's to1500-2000 rpm in a instant. I've been driving manual transmissions all my life and I'm 60 now but I will say that this combo would not be for a beginner learning to drive a manual. You'd smoke the clutch in no time.

I have thought about importing the 6spd manual for the diesel OS in the UK. The gearing is close 1-3 but the 4-6 is all much lower and the 4j11 doesn't have diesel torque. Maybe after adding turbo. Plus can't find any info on the Bell housing bolt pattern.. To know if it's even possible. Wish they would done a 6spd the bean counting bastards!

Transmission Model:- F6MBC

Engine Model:- 4B40

Transmission Type:- 6speed, floor shift.

Transmission gear ratio

1st 3.833

2nd 2.047

3rd 1.303

4th 0.975

5th 0.744

6th 0.659

Reverse 3.545

Final reduction ratio 4.058.

I've seen a few of these available in the UK running about $750-$1000 USD. Shipping would probably double the price.

Do you if the bell housing will bolt up? Where are you finding your transmission information from?

It should bolt up since the 4B40 is just a successor to the 4B11 2.0 and the 4B12 2.4 found in our OS'. 4B40 is the engine in the Eclipse Cross. That transmission just isn't available in the North American market. But you'd have to check with a transmission shop. I got the ratio and transmission model info from a Eclipse Cross forum I follow and looked up the info on a European parts site to confirm . The downside is that there have been some 1st to 2nd synchro issues with this transmission with a few members having serious issues. My 5 speed also needs to warm up extensively 30+ minutes of driving before it gets buttery smooth. When it's cold or even cool, it's a notchy beast and I never ever speed shift it. I replaced the gear oil at 30k with Redline and it helped but cold temps are not your friend. When I drained the OEM fluid @30k it looked fine, no metal shavings or particles at all. Fluid looked clean. I have 41k on the clock now and it shifts awesome (better with Redline) but I take extreme caution until it warms up.
