My dad spotted an Evo today and let me know, i thought it was pretty cool of him since he's 59

So Brett and I hit up sonic after watching Favre beat the packers. As we were leaving we hit a stop light and this 88' civic pulls up next to us with his fart can exhaust.. Light turns green and he burns his tires (LOL) and continues to go WOT, while we are just driving normal, shifting at 3K still keeping up with him lmao. Pull up at the next stop light and we both just point and laugh at him and his trailer trash GF. We turn off the road and see this busted *** integra, and in a quickness, Brett says "Look, he called back up" I was ****ing dying laughing....

That is crazy! That can't be called racing if you aren't even trying right and driving normal. Every time I feel is smooth and normal for the Evo it always ends up going over the speed limits. I always have to try extra hard to keep it within the speed limit. It is never fun that way. It is always in a weird rpm for gear selection. Too low rpm and a whole bunch of turbo lag or too high and speeding.

Shifting at 3k - 4k around the city seems perfect for me. Maybe you do have a boost leak!
haha it was fine after that quick fix. Thanks for the tools! whenever i'm around 3-4k I always want to hear the whoosh! haha maybe that is why i'm having a hard time keeping in the speed limits. Sometimes I like drive my 94 toy because I can step on the gas WOT much longer and not get over the speed limit nearly as much as the Evo.
yeah at one point i said what the hell and loosen the spring all the way. Really load VTA on high load and actually held boost but fluttered all over the place even in vaccum
