The BOSS 302 turned out pretty darn good last summer!



But I just tore most of the ligaments off the bone of three fingers in my left hand, so there might not be very much detailing this summer.

 

Good god that looks amazingly amazing.

 

Ryan's detailing is so good, it makes the reflection look better than the actual thing. Srsly.

and BTW - what happened to your hand??? Did you hit on the wrong gal, and then got hit on by the wrong gal's wrong guy?

I tried to jump over a 30" tall box while wearing a 40 lb lead vest. Apparently this is not something i'm capable of as I landed on top of the box on my hands (after tripping over the lip of the box) but with my weight airborne my knee came down on top of my hand, hyper extending 3 fingers and pulling the ligaments off the bone. Luckily there weren't any fractures or broken fingers.

Still have another week in the brace, then a week in a soft brace and finally 2 weeks of rehab to regain flexibility in my fingers.

Cant detail or even shoot pool right now, and have the Vegas qualifier tournament in 2 weeks!

 

My car has never been this clean....

double-ouch that this will likely affect your Vegas chances, as I know you look forward to that.

 

Thanks for the kind words! I'm not even booking details right now and until the Dr gives the go-ahead.

The regional tournament is this weekend that qualifies the team for Vegas. I shot for a few hours yesterday and think I can be good enough to go. Had the injury happened a few days later then I don't think the tournament would be possible.

Did a few 1-armed workouts (pun intended) at the gym and felt like it was going to result in injuring my non-injured arm due to the additional strain. Hopefully this time next week I will be announcing the team is heading back to the national championships!!!

Best of all is that the Vegas trip would still fit perfectly with the trip to Burning Man. Because once you've partied on the playa, Vegas seems incredibly dull.

 

BTW - I just found out I work with a guy that plays pool (not sure if 8 or 9 ball, or whatevers). A team out of Bellevue, which I know is around where you live (or used to?) but I wasn't sure if that was where your team is out of. His name is Vikram and I guess he is pretty good?

 

Don't know him by name. I have only shot on Tuesdays for the past few years so it's entirely likely that he just shoots a different day of the week.

If he was on a team that made it to the tournaments a lot then I should know him. Hope it isn't a case of me missing a player. Trying to track an entire league's worth of players to have intel on them is difficult at best.

ugh...this site is depressing. I'm not sure how much I'll stick around, but I suppose I'll keep checking in. I've been coming less and less and I always expect the traffic to pick up, but it usually doesn't.

Hopefully facebook is working out better for ya'll, cause this site doesn't appear to be.

 

The FB pages are probably doing okay. Don't know personally as i'm banned from them. EvoM allows people the opportunity to have skin thick enough to take childish banter.

Dan: Little update on my Evo. It just sold last night. Stepped out of the Evo game and moved onto other car things! As the ex-wife ruined the credit the only way to get enough money scraped together to start this epic quest was to sell her off.

I'm a little sad, and a little happy. New beginnings and interestingly enough, returning to restoring cars which is where I started getting into the car hobby back in High School.

 

I still check in here regularly but it's usually dead, which is sad.
