No you don't use the factory oil temp sensor. All new gauges come with their own. You also don't want to use the oil pan location. Terrible place to put it and not where you want to measure your temps. You want to plump it on the oil filter housing. There are two blank plugs above your oil filter most people use to plug in their oil pressure and oil temp gauges...I use these for my Defi's. Your oil temp reading will be much more accurate. There are quite a few How-To that have illustrations on what to do. Very simple swap.
You will need one of these: http://store.42draftdesigns.com/Lanc...ptor_p_54.html
Adapter to hook your oil temp sending unit into the oil filter housing.

^Sunday at XXX in Issaquah. There are a couple threads in the local section regarding the meet and pre-meets. I'm in Monroe if you want to meet me Sunday morning sometime. I'll be heading West to meet someone in Lake Stevens and then hook up with a few more in the Lynnwood area.

we shall see. i bought the DSD-SLMs, and from what ive read they are satisfactory. i dont need anything crzy expensive..just something that i can actually see(from time to time)! the factory gauges are the suck.
i only autox my evo(its my DD) so its not like i need top of the line DEFIs... i cant justify the pricing. ill spend the difference where it matters. on brakes and susp. and tires

I couldn't afford the defi's either, but I should of went with something different like AEM, or prosport.
Anybody got some black rally armor mud flaps they want to sell? My wheels are pretty aggressive and I notice they tend to throw up alot of crap on the side of the car in the rain. Figure it would be a good investment for Fall/Spring and to help keep my paint nice.
BrettMR has some mudflaps that he'd like to put up FS.
