hey guys i have a question. my car is goin through emission inspection. do i need to put my OEM exhaust back on or will i pass with the aftermarket exhaust?

 

Depends on the test station. Some will let it fly, others wont. It wont make any difference on whether or not you'll pass though, they can't use the sniffer on Evo's due to the AWD system, and them only having a 2WD roller lol.

 

I have never had a problem with a modified exhaust. They probably won't care since they won't hook up the sniffer anyways.

 

Depending on county they will just hook it up their computer up to your OBD2 port to see if it reads off any codes. You can have catless exhaust and still pass if your car is code-free.

 

Did the emissions today in redmond and all they did was hook up the OBD II scanner and that was it.

And IMO from reviews and word of mouth, if you buy new, I'd suggest Blizzaks, unless someone with real world experience here chimes in saying otherwise.
