Quote: I'm thinking of maybe doing another UFC night on Feb 5th - the card looks pretty loaded. The only catch is I paid for the last one, so who's going to step up this time around?
Are you asking me to web-cast the MMA fight that i'll be at in Las Vegas that night

Quote: bought 'THE ABSORBER" and some microfiber cloths, and some carnuba wax today...

never waxed a car, think ima give it a shot after work. any tips?
.
seems pretty straight forward

put it on, wait
take it off

done
Absorber = worthless
Drying towel of choice: http://www.autogeek.net/cobra-hd200-3.html
These things suck, and by suck I mean suck ALOT of water off the car!

Costco Microfiber towells = good value for the money

Keep the wax away from the black plastics, generally if your doing application/removal all by hand i'd work panel by panel as there isnt much benefit of letting it dry, especially with the humidity % right now.

Our company was bought out the end of this past year... now we have to go though all 157 apartment files and reorganize them and put everything is a new order. So happy we are going out drinking tonight!

I've got one I'd sell for cheap, Marvin. You might need to get a neck-down adapter as it was from my Red. It was used for 3k miles or so?

BTW - it is non-recirc.

soooo waxing it was not too bad, although i am curious to see if there is really a difference...

Only had 3 towels to remove the wax with, and they became to saturated so I only got half the car done, drying the towels now and I will finish up.

Then you must be doing it wrong or have inferior wax, or possibly a color that doesnt have alot of gloss (Silver, the bane of good looking cars everywhere).

Here is an example of a Range Rover I detailed a few months back

Side by side shot:

Paint condition, Before:

After

And a few of my cars i've owned after details:

Evo

Mazdaspeed3

E46 M3 SMG

It was dark by the time i got started, I did it under a light in my carport.... I did notice it was shiney but i was reserving judgment until today, although it will probably rain and go away by the time i see it lol

Are there ever meets in the Vancouver area?

I almost thought about driving up to Seattle just to hang out with 30 minutes and drive back but my better half talked me out of it.
