one of my buddies considered buying a RHD TT Supra. It was around 56xxx KM's. It really mint. It had an exhaust and intake the rest stock. The seller was willing to let it go for 13g's CAD. The seller drove it with me in the back seat and my buddy called shot gun. To be honest, it felt crazy fast when he went at WOT. It sounds nice too. One of the things I noticed was the legroom in the back seat - almost next to nothing. Interior/Exterior was really nice. It was here locally for only a few months from Japan. For a few moments there I wondered why i almost paid twice for my Evo. But it was an RHD, 2 door (4 door ftw), higher insurance premium, and over 10 yrs old.
Supra's are one of the few cars higher to insure than an evo. I assume being the rarity and cost of the parts has something to do with it. Can't believe it was only 13k up there. Most Supra I seen in good condition go for around 40k for a 95-98. More if it's stock and low mileage.
That R32 on craigslist is wow...think I may have seen it around before. That engine is nice looking.
Oh I also found out about a Black TT Supra that lives by me. I see him quite often and it runs DR's around town and has a big old FMIC and 4in exhaust and cams. I had a hunch it was fast and it just so happens to be that guys friend. Says its running a big single and making 700whp on pump...don't think I should play with him on the highway
. Sounds sooo damn good when he gets on it too. Can literally hear it from like 2 miles away.

Quick story:
Forgot to tell everyone I drove a 98 mint TT supra this weekend with 26k original miles and was newer looking that my evo. Buddy brought his friend over to see who's car had the bigger *****. Fortunately for me his car was mostly stock besides HRE's and a few TRD bolts ons...kinda got me worried though. We drove each others car...Supra definately drove "nicer" I think as in better drivability and comfort. Oddly enough it felt like it had less torque than the evo seeing as how the turbos are set up in them they dont really come alive until about 5k. Definately slower than the evo was but I probably have 100hp on him. Handling felt really numb and heavy but he was on Eibach springs and I'm on custom valved Ohlins so thats a bit unfair.
For a 12yr old car though it was really quite and felt extremely tight...I can understand the hype behind them. At 12yrs old my evo will probably rattle itself apart. If the steering felt better I would consider one. But after he told me there was only 106 Supras made in 98 in that color and he paid 50k for it I decided it wasn't worth 2 of my cars considering after he got out of my car he offered to buy it if I ever sell it One thing for certain though park them next to each other and damn it makes the evo look ugly...that is just one of those cars that makes you stare at and think "damn thats a good looking car for 12yrs old"

I also saw the same guy at the drag strip last Friday. He purposely went the same time as me and put me to shame. My buddy has a vid on his iphone. I blew a coupler at launch. FTL. He made a 10.xx pass while I limped to the finish line...
Derek - it was cheap because it was right hand drive. you are right, those TT supras sell for ridiculously expensive down there, especially if they are LHD.

I've hit the supra bug lately! I've seen a couple super clean ones lately.....such a rare beast that really set the standard for import power!! Id be saying the same thing for the R34 GT-R if they were legal in the states! Only 10 more years or so!!! I wish I was into imports before I joined the army....I would have opted to go to korea or somewhere and bring a gem back!
