^In answer to your question from the Marketplace re: Vegas, I personally wouldn't blow the "maître d’" for some Vodka...I told you, they sell that Kirkland brand for cheap at Costco. So this time you can consider that research before going. However I'm usually on more of an open budget, so I'm not judging.
As for places to eat, the prime rib place I told you about previously is called Lawry's. I'd also recommend "Texas de Brazil" for great food (much better than something like Pampas, or anything offered up here). I'd also recommend Memphis Championship BBQ. I think Minh agreed on all counts (can't remember if he'd been to Lawry's though).
If it pleases you, I'll take a box of Dunkin friggin' Donuts as a consultant fee.

I know about the vodka, however i do it even cheaper (since the cab to costco was $40 round trip). I just bring 2 bottles of Crater Lake vodka (a very fine vodka IMHO) in the suitcase.

haven't tried Crater Lake. Kirkland Brand is distilled/bottled by Grey Goose, so it is a very nice Vodka...for $27 for a 40oz! cab-ride is pretty much a deal breaker though, I agree.

You can pick up Crater Lake at almost any WA state liquor store. Its usually on the top shelf of the "cheap" vodka's, next to the "real" top shelf stuff.
And its smoother, crisper, and makes a fantastic sipping, shooting or blending vodka. It should instantly replace any sub $40 bottles of vodka people are using, and IMHO it should be chosen over Grey Goose (not even taking into account that you can get almost two bottles for the price of one goose).

^I'd be surprised if it was as good as GG, but I'm willing to give it a try. I have been more into the flavored stuff, like the Three Olives Purple + Mt Dew (very similar to Mt Dew Pitch Black), or Pinnacle whip cream + Orange Crush.

mmmm....I drink this same thing at my house occasionally, or mix it up a bit and use Root Beer instead of Orange. And its actually pretty good with a few scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream.

yea - the performance and everything was so close to the michelin pilotsport a/s plus that i couldn't justify the extra $70 bucks for the pilotsport's

I got Falken Rocky Mountains mounted yesterday. A little loose in the cornering compared to what I'm used to. Maybe because they are on our SUV.

Anybody had sincity brewery beer before?
http://www.sincitybeer.com/lasvegasmicrobrewery.html
Trying to determine if its worth the walk to try it out. As opposed to, say, walking the strip with a bottle of vodka like last year.

for those going to vegas, you might want to look at this link. It seems to be good for 1 year. I'm not sure if where you're staying/where the tournaments are if this even makes sense, but figured I'd post it up.

^ Thanks Daniel! Its a bit wierd using the monorail as its a 15 min walk (2 vegas blocks) to the terminal, and another 2 blocks back to the strip, so usually for me the time/expense of the 4 blocks wasnt worth it compared to actually walking the strip (4 blocks gets you to about Cesars Palace)
However Robert may feel different.
