Hey, can any one point me in the right direction for snow tires? I've done some searching, and it seems to vary from region to region (for obvious reasons). What do you guys use? I plan on taking it up to Stevens Pass, and maybe other slopes near by. Are studded tires overkill? My evo is slow comparatively. Haha. If that even makes a difference.
The ones I picked out are V speed rated (nearly $30 more per tire) but the ability to drive nearly any speed I want without worrying about delaminating a tire is worth the price!

Weather averages by month and general info:

You wont need blizzaks for the weather down there (on average). Not enough snow/ice for it. If you want good wet weather tires then you can go with some "mild" winter tires, but based on those averages I would probably just run OEM rims with all-season tires and have the warm weather tires on some flashy aftermarket rims.
Hope you enjoy the area! I have a cabin in Seaside, WA just acrost the Columbia river from you. Only indepth info I have as i'm only there a few weeks per year is to watch out for the PCH and Astoria police! They dont have much to do but speed enforcement. Oh, and your traffic will SUCK with all the RV's and tourists in the warm months.
